South Shore Early Education, a South Shore Community Action Council program - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Wareham, Cape Cod, and the Islands, in Plymouth seeks IT/EHS Support Staff 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. All company benefits apply. The Base hourly rate is $20.31/hr., commensurate with experience, licenses, and degree.
POSITION: 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide clientele with a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment to help them develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development in relationship to the overall goal of social competency. Perform teaching activities in accordance with the EEC & EHS Head Start Performance Standards, while assuming a lead role in the classroom.
Involve parents in the educational aspects of the program to increase their knowledge and understanding of skills and experiences in child growth, education, and development, specifically with infants and toddlers. Meal assistance and other various activities as assigned.
Core Qualifications:
High School degree or equivalent, HISET, or GED. Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish) is helpful although not required. Must speak and understand English.
Minimum Requirements at employment:
· All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check; before beginning employment.
· Date of posting 1/7/25 deadline to apply 1/17/25; or until a suitable candidate is found.
· Valid MA state driver’s license.
· Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
