South Shore Early Education, a South Shore Community Action Council program - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Wareham, Cape Cod, and the Islands, seeks three full-time certified Teacher Assistant candidates, 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Assist classroom teacher to create and maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. Perform teaching activities under supervision of the teacher, while assuming a lead role in working with varying groups of children. Meal assistance, bus monitor and other various activities as assigned.
Massachusetts DEEC Teacher Certification required & related experience of a minimum of two years in preschool or a similar program. AA/AS degree preferred, or in process in early education or related field, BA/BS considered. Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish) is preferred although not required. Must speak and understand English.
Minimum Requirements at employment:
· All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check; prior to beginning employment.

· Valid MA state driver’s license.
· Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
