South Shore Early Education, a South Shore Community Action Council program - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Wareham, Cape Cod, and the Islands, is seeking a part-time Bus Monitor. 20 hours per week, 41 weeks per year minimum. Paid holidays, and sick leave according to the MA state sick leave law. Base rate $20.30/hr
Responsible for engagement, supervision, and care of children in the scope of transportation to and from school for the Before and/or After-School Programs. Engage with children on the bus, and ensure children are safely transported according to EEC regulations.
High School diploma/GED or HISET required. Early Education and Care certification or a Commonwealth of Massachusetts teacher certification is preferred.
Minimum Requirements at employment:
· All candidates must undergo a background check where applicable;
before beginning employment.
· Positions are open until a suitable candidate is found.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Valid MA state driver’s license.
