South Shore Early Education, a South Shore Community Action Council program - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Wareham, Cape Cod, and the Islands, is seeking Support Staff. We will train the right individual. Benefits include paid holiday for scheduled days; and sick leave under the MA state sick leave law.
Provide clientele with a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment to help them develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development in relationship to the overall goal of social competency. Perform teaching activities following the EEC & Head Start Performance Standards, while assuming a lead role in the classroom.
Involve parents in the educational aspects of the program to increase their knowledge and understanding of skills and experiences in child growth, education, and development, specifically with infants and toddlers. Meal assistance and other various activities as assigned.
High School degree or equivalent, HISET, or GED. Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish) is helpful although not required. Must speak and understand English.
Minimum Requirements at employment:
· All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check; before beginning employment.
· Date of posting 8/21/24 deadline to apply 9/2/24; or until a suitable candidate is found.
· Valid MA state driver’s license.
· Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
