South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit working to meet our mission on the South Shore, Wareham, Cape Cod, and Islands - seeks a part-time Intake Specialist in our Mashpee office. 21 hours per week, a minimum of 26 weeks per year. No benefits apply, other than scheduled holidays; and the MA state sick leave law.
Assist clients in applying for the Home Energy Assistance Program via a computerized intake process. Computer experience is required. Attention to detail is imperative, and the ability to adapt & follow federal regulations. Ability to communicate with a diversified client base in a skilled and compassionate manner.
A high school diploma, GED or HISET is required. MS Office knowledge, excellent customer service, and organizational skills. Strong computer systems management skills. Familiarity with, or ability to adapt and learn Federal program guidelines, and regulations, and the demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the clientele we serve, and the social service community we interact with.
Minimum Requirements at employment:
· Positions are open until a suitable candidate is found. Date of posting 8/22/24.
· Valid MA state driver’s license.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Must speak and understand English.
