South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit working to end poverty on the South Shore - seeks a temporary full-time Heating Systems Inspector.
POSITION: Temporary - Full-Time
Core Responsibilities:
Inspect and evaluate heating systems for repair or replacement. **C**lient education, health, and safety testing. Perform quality control inspections of completed weatherization and heating system work to ensure program** **specifications are met. In-house and offsite training to perform other required duties. Training opportunities to perform home energy audits and inspections.
Core Qualifications:
Ability to measure dimensions of residential spaces, perform heat loss and other calculations and incorporate program regulations and procedures. Ability to accurately record information, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality. Preferred HVAC, but not required. Ability to pass background check inclusive of drug and alcohol testing; CORI and SORI Background Check; consumer fair credit report check. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to attend required training.
Will train suitable candidates.
Minimum Requirements at employment:
All candidates must undergo a background check where applicable; prior to beginning employment, including a drug and alcohol screening, CORI, SORI, and consumer fair credit report check.

Valid MA state driver’s license in good standing.
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
