South Shore Community Action Council, Inc. - a private non-profit on the South Shore, Wareham, Cape Cod, and the Islands - seeks a full-time Energy Auditor-Weatherization Auditor/Heating Systems Inspector, Monday to Friday, 7.50 hrs. per day, 37.50 hrs. per week, 52 wks. per year. Salary commensurate with experience, training, years in the field, and education. Excellent employee benefits package.
Perform home energy audits and inspections, client education, health, and safety testing. Inspect weatherization work in process and provide technical advice and consultation to contractors. Inspect and evaluate heating systems for repair or replacement. Perform quality control inspections of completed weatherization and heating system work to meet program** **specifications. IRS mileage reimbursement for business trips outside the normal daily commute, as approved by the Director of Energy Programs.
Ability to measure dimensions of residential spaces, including attics, basements, and crawl spaces. Perform mathematical calculations and incorporate program regulations and procedures. Ability to accurately record information, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality. Ashrae 62-2 2016, LEAD Renovator’s Certification, OSHA 10, OSHA confined space, BPI certification (building science principals) preferred, or we will train suitable candidates.
Minimum Requirements at employment:
· All candidates must undergo an in-depth background check where applicable;
post interview, before beginning employment, including drug screening, CORI, SORI, and driver record.
· Date of posting 10/1/2024-position open until a suitable candidate is found.
· Valid MA state driver’s license.
· Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
