Cook Manager - Plymouth
Year Round Position

Core Responsibilities:
Responsible for ordering, preparing, disbursing and serving meals at the Plymouth location of South Shore Early Education and Care (in accordance with ACF/USDA guidelines). Coordinating with all sites for meal service. Candidate must be Food Serve Trained (MSFA certified).

Responsible for kitchen inventory and preparing special meal for children with medical allergy needs. 

Core Qualifications:
BA/BS in Culinary arts preferred; previous large meal service required; inventory; ability to work with varying groups of children and adults; USDA background.  Must be at least 18 yrs. of age to apply. Must hold a valid driver’s license in good standing.

At least two years’ experience in nonprofit; preschool or similar work environment. 

All Head Start candidates must have a current medical certificate, MMR Documentation, TB test, statements of CORI/Background check, and employment application (apply online) prior to beginning employment.  Positions are open until a suitable candidate is found. In house candidates must apply.  President Biden has implemented a Federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate and all employees must be vaccinated by 1/1/22. We will be requesting complete proof of COVID-19 vaccine upon hire.

Employee Retention incentive available after 90 days of employment up to $500 (taxable).
