Consumer Mediation Position- Immediate Opening

Main Office Location - 71 Obery Street, Plymouth, MA
19 hrs. per week, 52 wks. per yr.

Core Responsibilities:
Record, evaluate and assign new consumer complaints on a weekly basis. Investigate and resolve consumer complaints including written documentation of all investigative work done on a case by case basis in compliance with funding source guidance.

Complete computer sheets on all new and closed cases and submit them online to the Attorney General's office weekly. Recruit, instruct and supervise 1-2 volunteer mediator positions.

Attend local consumer program meeting at the Attorney General's Office and /or regional outreach/consumer education events/activities required annually.

Submit monthly report to CEO/Board of Directors outlining program statistics- number of cases opened and closed, closing dispositions, phone inquiries handled and monetary value of complaints resolved.

Refer consumers to appropriate agencies where appropriate

Core Qualifications:
Associates degree or paralegal certification preferred. Ability to perform general office duties including typing, filing, MS Word, MS Outlook. Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills, should be a self- starter, multi project, goal oriented. Ability and experience managing staff & volunteers preferred. Mediation experience preferred. Valid MA Driver’s license in good standing. Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
