Fiscal Director

Job Summary:
Directs and oversees the Fiscal Department and is the chief financial advisor for a $20+ million nonprofit community action agency reporting directly to the Executive Director. Member of the senior management team.

Job Duties:
Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for funding sources; assists in the preparation of various program and Agency-wide budgets; tracks results against budget and reports results to the Finance Committee and the Board; responsible for the year end audit, tax return and other funding requirements; provides guidance to Fiscal staff; assists in the development of allocation plans including filing of annual Indirect Cost Rate negotiations; reviews various contracts for compliance with A-133 and other funder regulations; other functional areas of the organization as described in the detailed job description. Ensures timely completion of projects within established quality standards, and provides reports to the Executive Director.

Qualifications, Experience and Education:
CPA required with BSBA in Accounting, or has an MBA/Masters in Accounting. Eight+ years accounting experience with demonstrated senior management level experience; strong experience in Not for Profit. Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the agency. Extensive background check required. Reports to Executive Director.

Management and leadership skills inclusive of collaboration and team building; strong oral and written communication; project scheduling; various computer proficiencies; contract compliance and research skills.
