Teacher (Temporary)

Core Responsibilities:
Plan and implement all classroom activities that carry out the goals set forth in the Education Plan.  Create and maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters the physical, emotional and cognitive development of students. Perform teaching activities in accordance with the Head Start performance standards set forth in the regulations, while assuming a lead role in working with varying groups of children.  Meal assistance and other various activities as assigned.Develop Daily lesson & curriculumn plans.

Core Qualifications: MA EEC Teacher certification. Degree required:   AA/AS  in Early Childhood Education.BA/BS degree considered.  Bi-lingual(portuguese and spanish) helpful although not required.

Core Requirements: Associates Degree in preferred field of Early Childhood, or working towards an AA Degree, or a completed CDA. BA/BS considered. MA EEC Teacher certification required. Valid driver’s license in good standing & must be at least 18 yrs. of age to apply.

Minimum Requirements at employment:
All candidates must have a current medical certificate, MMR Documentation, TB test, statements of CORI/DCF Background record check, SORI and fingerprints upon hire, and employment application (available on SSCAC website) prior to beginning employment. Positions are open until a suitable candidate is found.
