About Hope 2021 Initiative

PLYMOUTH, MA – In partnership with local, independent, and non‐profit agencies servicing each of the six towns in her Plymouth and Barnstable District, Senator Susan Moran today announced from her Cordage Park offices in Plymouth, a local initiative called HOPE 2021. This initiative is focused specifically on celebrating the endurance the community has shown in fighting COVID‐19 and the patience the community has shown as the State rolls out vaccination efforts to our towns.

Senator Moran is including town pride HOPE 2021 face coverings emblematic of the true grit and determination shown by each of the six communities in her district. “The people of Kingston, Pembroke, Plymouth, Bourne, Sandwich, and Falmouth have done a remarkable job staying connected and supporting each other under the most trying times any of us can remember and that connection, that spirit, is what the HOPE 2021 masks will highlight,” stated Senator Moran. “Each town will have its own representative mask design, but the HOPE 2021 moniker will connect them,” she continued.

Senator Moran was joined at the socially distanced press conference at her Cordage Park office by representatives from the non-profit community, local restaurant owners, business leaders, and event sponsors, who were there to add additional details and support for the planned initiative. The masks will accompany the distribution of hundreds of take-out meals from local restaurants to young students and their families in the local school systems. Senator Moran states that “We are all getting together to show the love on Valentine’s Day with a special meal so families can celebrate their love and appreciation for each other and their community, especially now as the pandemic continues to try our patience, our finances, and our health. Please remember to visit all of our generously participating restaurants and enjoy their menus to extend Valentine hope and love throughout the winter.”
