Back Pack Food For Kids
School children through out Plymouth County are eligible to recieve free or reduced-price meals. For many of these children, school meals may be the only meal they eat all day. What happens when they go home over the weekend?
Food For Weekends and School Vacations
Since 2014, SSCAC’s Food Resources Program’s Food Distrution Center has been helping school children get the nutritious and easy-to-prepare food they need to get enough to eat on the weekends. Bags of food are assembled by a team of dedicated volunteers on Wednesday, and then distributed to children at the end of the week. With your help, we can provide more food to more children in need.
SSCAC’s partner schools are currently:
- Cold Spring Elementary School
- Federal Furnace Elementary School
- Hedge Elementary School
- Indian Brook Elementary School
- Nathaniel Morton Elementary School
- South Elementary School
- West Elementary School
- Memorial Early Childhood Center
- Mary K. Goode Elementary School
- Henry B. Burkland School
